Over the past year, I have had the opportunity to get to know Jason Brass first as a Town Councillor and now as candidate for Mayor, but most importantly as a person and community leader.
Through our conversations, I have come to appreciate Jason’s thoughtful approach to leadership. He listens, he asks questions, and he understands that the decisions made at Town Hall need to translate into meaningful outcomes for the people who call Halton Hills home. It begins with working as a team, collaborating and forming meaningful partnerships to get things done without impacting the integrity of Halton Hills.
Jason brings balance to the table. He understands business, leadership and the importance of building effective partnerships, while also recognizing that growth must be carefully managed alongside the infrastructure, services, recreation and community supports our residents need.
I find Jason to be transparent, approachable and willing to have open conversations even when perspectives may differ. This matters to me. Strong leadership is not about having all the answers; it is about listening, bringing people together, building the right connections and partnerships and having the experience to move ideas into action.
As Halton Hills continues to grow and change, I believe Jason brings a valuable combination of municipal experience, business knowledge, community connection and practical leadership.

I have known Jason Brass for close to 10 years. In this current term of Council, I have had the opportunity to work closely with him. Jason is the best choice for Mayor. One of his biggest attributes is that he listens. He listens to constituents, to staff, and to experts before he acts.
During budget discussions he brought forward ways to reduce the tax hike in the Mayor’s budget and looked for efficiencies each time. He worked with recreational groups to find solutions such as the basketball net ban, the banning of walk-up music and for more recreational facilities. He was the first to work with me to ensure our fire master plan was going to be fully funded, not at 50% as proposed by the Mayor’s budget. The immediate result was ten full time firefighters being hired, all from our part-time ranks. He worked with our Fire Chief and staff on better numbering and signage for rural roads and properties to help ensure that emergency services can reach rural residents in a time of emergency. He initiated a public meeting with Halton Regional Police to present to ward 2 residents how they may be able to better secure their property and for open dialogue of concerns they had as rural residents.
He believes in open and transparent government and not having discussions behind closed doors.
Jason has also quietly supported families and community groups in town. He is compassionate and caring and believes in giving back to our community.
I wholeheartedly endorse Jason Brass to be the next Mayor of Halton Hills. His business background, education, compassion, and care for our community is what we need.
On October 26th, vote for Jason Brass. The best choice for Mayor.

We had the pleasure of welcoming Jason Brass to the store today, and we’re so grateful he took the time to sit down with us and talk about the future of our business. As a local resident himself, Jason is deeply rooted in our community—not just as a business owner of Terra Cotta Foods Ltd., but also through his volunteer work. From serving as Vice-Chair of the Halton Hills Chamber of Commerce to his role with the Bennett Centre long-term care home, it’s clear he genuinely cares about the people and businesses here. What stood out most to us is how passionate he is about supporting small businesses. He truly wants to see places like ours grow and succeed, and he’s willing to put in the effort to help make that happen. Today’s conversation was all about future expansion, and we’re excited about what’s ahead. As he looks toward his next chapter—and with plans to run for mayor in the next election—it’s inspiring to see someone so committed to this community. I have known Jason and his family for more than 25 years. I have always known Jason to be hard-working, committed, and dedicated. He brings a strong, successful business sense blended with compassion for others. I believe he will be an excellent mayor for Halton Hills. He will definitely work to make Halton Hills a better community.
I first met Jason at the Georgetown Hospital Gala in November 2025 through a prominent local business leader. We set-up a coffee as I was intrigued by his role as Ward 2 Councillor and his future Georgetown thoughts which he then clearly shared. Jason is present in our community at every event, big or small. When I called him on a Friday morning he picked up directly and committed on the spot to attend our charity event. "Vision Georgetown" is our future and I believe Jason is the right individual as mayor to connect all levels of government with our builders / land developers to get it right the first time. That is why I am voting for Jason Brass as the next Mayor for Georgetown.
